This brief required the creation of a brand identity for an informal trader. I chose to work with a man named Philani Dladla, who is known as the Pavement Bookworm, as he not only sells books streetside, but is also an avid reader and provides book reviews and recommendations to his regular clients. At the time Philani's inspirational story had begun to receive much media attention, and the publication of his own book was in the pipeline, thus his brand identity needed to reflect a level of professionalism, while still remaining cost effective to reproduce.
