Posing for a local journalist from GVA with my son in front of 'The Picknick Company'
The making of this painting gave me a lot of headaches. The weather was very cold and wet. My workspace was freezing. When making the canvas, the wood and the canvas were constantly stretching and then loosening. While painting, this gave a lot of trouble. And I have often thought I'd just give up. But I didn't and when it was done I moved it so I couldn't see it.
