This logo is inspired by origami. The edges of each origami fold point in different directions representing the Expo’s global reach. The folds unite in a circular shape representing the world, and form a hidden arrowhead in the centre that points upwards to symbolize the escalating growth and development of all those who will join in the Expo 2020 in Dubai. The colour palette implies the historic identity of UAE, marking its position as a central meeting point in the world. This is doubly effective as the Expo 2020 will take place in Dubai World Central.
