If you look to where the art from the psychedelic 60's got it's inspiration, you will find that it borrowed heavily from the Art Nouveau movement from the turn of the century. With the "Dame Terres Electrique" print, I'm going back to the source material of the Art Nouveau movement to create this psychedelic experience in block printing.
The "Dame Terres Electrique" design was hand carved and hand printed on 12.5×19 inch 100lb French cover stock with hand mixed water base block printing inks. This print in particular uses a technique of blending multiple colors in order to achieve a gradient blend.
