For a while now I've been collaborating with Vamanos on Brand management of his highly respected world music blog - Ghettobassquake

The briefs are always a pleasure to work on. The music is always so great and raw so the customary 'tight 'n' neat' design rules can be thrown out of the window. Vamanos is happy to let me loose on each and every aspect, so as a creative / client relationship, it's pretty much up there with the best of them. I hope it's something we can carry on for a long time - enjoy...

BATIDA - Yumbala
Digital cover for the tracks release. As it was digital, I saw no reason that the single's cover should be static. I brought this up with Vamanos and  he was happy to let me experiment.
Both Vamanos and Batida the artist were really pleased with the result. I think it really captures the energy of the music.

Sandstorm Mix - Vamanos' very own selection
AJ Holmes & The Hackney Empire - Fraudian slip was GBQ's first single release. They had the artwork for their cover, but needed tweaks to their logo and a reverse for the single sleeve. This was all produced in tandem with looking into a style for GBQ's newletters and promotional material
Secousse - This was along running night at Notting Hill Arts Club. The logo was set , but the guys wanted a re-brand. I handmade the lettering and boosted the colours to go with the lively music and the advantage of being an online flyer. Not long after the Notting Hill Festival's after party however, GBQ parted ways with Secousse.

Hopefully there'll be a future night hosted by them and we can get stuck into another style.
