The face frames, doors and drawer fronts are all hard rockmaple. I had to mortise and tendons the face frames togetherbecause using a pocket hole joint would split the wood even with a fine coursethreaded screw. The carcasses of the cabinets were made from a 4’x 8’ sheet of melaminewith a MDF core. The trick with plane and jointing hard maple is not to cutinto the gain direction. The difference between the two vanities were the drawerswere opposite of each other. I also add some shelving to provide more storagewithin the vanities. The dovetail drawers rides on full extension ball bearingdrawer glides.  All doors and drawer are soft closing.
