All Saints: Logo Design & Brand Development

All Saints approached me when three different Catholic parishes joined to form one. They desired a logo that represented each unique church while also conveying the unity of the newly formed church community.
The newly minted logo for All Saints Parish was designed to symbolize the joining of the three church communities into one parish. The three flames contained within three circles symbolize each unique church. The rose colored flame represents St. Rose of Lima Church, Cadott, by the color of this flame the church’s principal patroness is entrusted. The violet flame symbolizes St. Joseph Church, Boyd. Violet is the traditional color for symbolizing the use of St. Joseph as the patron of a parish or person in representations. The blue flame forms Holy Family Church, Stanley. Blue is traditionally used to symbolize the Blessed Virgin Mary, who is the Queen of Heaven and one of the central figures of the Holy Family of Nazareth. The three flames are encircled and contained by three silver circles which represent each Divine Person of the Blessed Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; Who has brought together our parish into one community of faith under the Holy Catholic Church. The desire of the logo is to remind all parishioners and visitors of our uniqueness and unity in spirit.
In many church publications the logo is printed in black and white, and a color logo does not lend itself to such applications. I created a gray-scale image for the parish use in such instances to provide a more striking and clear image.

Below is the letterhead created within branding specifications for parish-wide use.

All Saints: Logo Design & Brand Development

This logo design project challenged me to unite separate elements under one symbol to represent the formation of a new parish community.
