頒獎典禮的視覺設計概念是回歸設計的起點，點不僅是設計的基本元素也代表設計師的觀點。全新的金點獎識別符號特別邀請到書法名家董陽孜老師揮毫金點獎三字，再透過解構重組書法線條和西方設計法規裡，碰撞出新華風的視覺趣味。主視覺影片同時追溯不同類型設計的製造現場，拍攝各種設計師熟悉的行為與動態介面，將無形的創意與靈感化為有形的金色圖釘動態圖像，窺見設計師的創作故事。
The concept for the visual identity and show package is about going back to where it all began. "點" (the Chinese word for Pin) meaning dot or a point, not only illustrates a design element but also translates to starting point of the ideas. The new Golden Pin Design Award logo was created in collaboration with renowned Taiwanese calligrapher, Tong Yang-Tze. The calligraphy strokes reinterpreted in a modern graphic design style produced a refreshingly new visual for the Chinese logo design. The opening video for the award ceremony seek to showcase different types of design work and their respective working environments. Creative ideas are imagined and animated as golden pins popping up in the different work spaces, to remind us that creativity are constant and timeless.
