It's the biggest (and we'd argue the best) Maritime Museum in the world. With a major capital project underway to create a fantastic new entrance National Maritime Museum at Greenwich also undertook a complete
re-brand. Make it Clear were brought in to consult on, design and implement a completely revised wayfinding and signage scheme that would help visitors understand the connection between the new wing and the main building and fully embed the new brand within each visitors journey.
Guiding visitors through the new Sammy Ofer wing and original premises required a comprehensive review
of the site's previous wayfinding and visitor experience. A focus on delivering information that allows quick decision making in an unconventional museum environment has created a more dynamic visitor journey. Part of the wider NMM transformation, signage was developed for The Queen's House and The Royal Observatory. With the new brand transforming the appearance of the organisation, the complimentary new wayfinding system has enabled more intuitive navigation throughout the site.
