This task was carried out for the project "Nutrition Education for Newly Arrived Immigrants to Norway", as part of developing several health modules towards the Introductory Program in Oslo and the Program Advisors. The program objectives target newly arrived refugees and/or people arriving for family reunion. The target group represent a diverse and heterogeneous population when it comes to age, culture, religion, gender, socioeconomic status, language, country of origin and life-experiences. This diversity challenges both the content and the level of information provided to participants. We have therefore emphasized to include simple wordings, active communication and visual aids. The latter aims to accommodate cultural sensitivity and diversity and moreover to guide participants through everyday life-situations and equip them with useful information and tools in order to choose a healthier lifestyle.
