All these wonderful images come from the Public Domain Review and it is a shame that no one is using them. In my attempt to be humorous, I tried to make some witty text to go along with the creature or individual being showcased on the piece.
These wonderful images convert very well to shirts, posters and stickers. The Public Domain review actually has a storefront that I would love to so design work for.
I'd really like to take these creatures to the next level and design standing cutouts of these characters to be displayed in public to promote the website.
These are the stickers I created for the Public Domain Review. At some point I would like to actually have them mainfested into actual stickers but for now they serve their purpose. The actual characters may very well get the same cutout treatment as the characters shown on the posters.
The Public Domain Review is a wonderful website that collects oddities from the past and showcases them in various formats. Stories, videos, pictures, art, The Public Domain Review houses many categories. I felt it was necessary to promote this website through the means of various posters and stickers showcasing the fantastically odd creatures that come from the website. I tried to add some humor to these posters and stickers with some witty text accompanying the to make people laugh or perhaps feel uncomfortable.
