At first, the name of this project was "skate it up" because all the characters I draw are riding on the skate, the purpose of the project is to make people change their opinion about this street art. Skate boarding is not for the spoiled child on the street, it is for everyone, so dont hesitate to get your own deck and enjoy it.
But later, when I noticed that the characters I draw are the workers, the police, etc... who must shoulder the burden of work, which hold them out of liberating themselves and enjoy life. At this point the skateboard is just a minor characters, so I want to send a message is that: Let's overcome the barriers of the mind, enjoy life, play what you want to play, don't be worry about the judges of others, please yourself first!
I started making this when I was in the first three months of learning Adobe Illustrator so you can see the path of my improvent in illustration style.
This one was made when I was in the third month of learning Illustrator skills.
And after finishing those illutrations, I had a chance to collab with the SaiGon skateshop to bring it to skate life, we made a traditional deck series.
The first dream has come true!
