This project is based around technologies and tools for Graphic Design, in this case Projection and Projection Mapping as a tool or application for Graphic Design.  Throughout the duration of this project I myself learn and experiment with the software and techniques used for Projection Mapping, exploring behaviors of light and surface and the interaction between the digital realm and the physical World.  I also experiment with design methods of form, counter-form, positive and negative space, composition, colour, typography as well as moving image, perspective and perception.    
 
I am proposing through practiced based research that this type of application is a great alternative output for Graphic Designers to engineer solutions for future projects.
 
Projection Mapping offers an endless array of opportunities for the Graphic Designer, as such I urge fellow designers to engage in unconventional types of applications for design work and to use technology to further design ideas and solutions.  This project “Light” could in future explore possibilities of interaction, tracking, audio, narrative, live feeds and augmented reality, all of which can be moulded to suit the designer’s needs.
