PORTRAIT SERIES OF THE FOUNDERS
Raphael is 1 of the 2 founders of Siegfried Gin. Both are smart like foxes, liekable and funny dudes. I wanted the pictures to reflect these attributes. The on-location shot above was taken very quickly, because we could not occupy the distilery for too long. That's why I used a simple 1-light setup (beauty dish) from the front. The post production was quite as simple as the shooting: Of course I made some raw settings, highlighted the eyes in Photoshop, partially used bleach bypass, pushed the picture to a slighly golden overall image look and finally added a vignette. The whole workflow fits to the business approach of Siegfried.
GIN RECIPE SERIES
For publishing a gin recipe booklet, some images were needed. As the booklet should be produced as a fan fold, I shot the drinks like they were all placed on the same stage. Of course I have been geared to our previously mapped out product images, by example by shooting them on a black glass plate … Additionally we produced some mood shots and some animated gifs for social media.
PRODUCT SHOT SERIES
Before we found our suitable image language for Siegfried Gin, we experimented with different materials for background and subsoil, such as paper, wood, marble and white glass, before we finally focused on our new standard with a white paper background and a black glass subsoil.
DISTILLER'S CUT SPECIAL EDITION
Siegfried launches a «Distiller's Cut» special limited edition every year. The DIstiller's Cut #1 came in a tin, version #2 was delivered in an alcantara bag and came with an additional botanical: regionally grown, delicious raspberries. The magic fairy dust to the Distiller’s Cut #3 came from 12 months of aging in Triple Sec oak casks. To show the resulting light golden color, we designed a pretty flat label.

The Beck's brewery gave us a sign and a thumbs-up – unfortunately the one we pointed to didn't respond at all. Overall we were totally happy with the impact.
HALLOWEEN SOCIAL MEDIA SHOOTOUT 2017
This year, it's the opposite around: A competitor (a world leader) has disguised as «Siegfried». Everybody wants to be a super hero!
Every year in february, we celebrate the so-called «5th season» in Cologne and Bonn (Germany). The «Kölscher Karneval» (Cologne Carnival) takes about a week. Summarized, people wear custumes, everyone is quite funny, a lot of alcohol is being consumed and inhibitions decrease to a minimum level. Overall, it's a state of exception. For the social campaign below, we disguised the famous Siegfried bottle – it now wears costumes of other well-known German gins.
