Rust-Oleum Sitecore Work

At Rust-Oleum, I worked on the RustOleum.com (for CBG and IBG) websites the IBU (International Business Unit) Australia website, the RO Sales Suppport site and the Testors Groups website. My work was done in Sitecore CMS and I used Photoshop to resize images and save them as JPEG's and PNG's.

I did work on a few of the sites from start to finish as follows, Dital Assets, Media Library and Content Editor. Other times, some of the folders were already created and I would just add images and content or I might have to create some new folders and/or create sub folders, etc.

Digital Assets
The first step was to create the folders and/or sub-folders for each brand and for each product in the Digital Assets on the server. Next, upload any Word or Excel documents, PowerPoint presentations, JPEG and/or PNG images and videos into the Digital Asset folders for each brand and product as well as resized images.

Media Library
Next, I would create all folders and/or sub-folders in Sitecore in the Media Library and upload all content (documents, images, video clip images, etc.)

Content Editor
The next step would be to create folders and the assets in the Content Editor and enter all information such as Meta Data, Images, content, copy, etc.

After that, manage all content, copy, images, etc., and make any changes needed like adding new products or removing old/discontinued products, documents, images, videos, etc.
Working in Sitecore CMS (Content Management System). I created all the folder in the Media Library and in the Content Editor. The first step, after the folders were created, I would have to make all imaged in the sizes needed and put them into the Digital Encyclopedia on the server in its folder. Once everything was in the folders, I would then upload them into the Media Library. Next, I would then create an asset in the Content Editor. After that, I would then fill in Meta Data, Images, and other information needed.
Resized images in Photoshop for the CBG and IBG brands for the RO Sales & Support website. Took an Acrobat ad into photoshop to create a thumbnail image in two sizes 70x70 and 568x568. If the content was in Word format, I would convert the Word document to a PDF to create the images.
Created premium banners for the CBG and IBG brands for the RustOleum.com website in a 1024x444 size. Over half the image, the right side, they wanted an opacity of about 85%.
Premium banner on RustOleum.com for the CBG brand. The image was cropped and a square shape with 85% opacity was used on the right side.
Behind the scenes of RustOleum.com, for the CBG brand, I entered and managed some of the content you see on this page such as the Painter's Touch Ultra Cover image, the small blocks of colors, the Product Overview, Title over the content, color name, SKU number, etc.
These images were resized in Photoshop, saved in the corresponding folders in Digital Assets and uploaded into Sitecore CMS (Media Library, Content Editor, etc.) with all content such as name of product, etc.
For the Testors website, the same process as for the RustOleum.com website was done. Images were resized. Images and PDF or Word documents were entered into the Digital Assets. Next the images and documents were uploaded into the Media Library, then into the Content Editor.
I resized Testors Project images. For some, such as the "Christmas Angel," I removed the background because it was a distraction, not a good color, etc.
More Testors Projects which I resized/cropped and uploaded into Sitecore CMS, etc.
