BIDD Shelf (W65)
Designed for KILTT in 2015
The BIDD shelf is designed from one of the typical problems that most simple-style bookshelves cannot store books on their own but require some bookends. Those bookshelves may be used just for storing small decorative items. From these reasons, we would like to be an alternative to those simple shelves, by preserving a minimal style but combining the expression of artwork details which is the craftsmanship of woodworking.
The BIDD shelf also provide practical functionality where the two shelf legs are twisted in a horizontal direction so that they can be used as bookends, and the other two legs are slanted from the vertical direction but parallel to each other in order to form an oblique view, making it look more interesting.
