Clark Ashton Smith's ZOTHIQUE pt. 1

About 2 years ago I was commissioned to do a series of illustration to Clark Ashton Smith's Zothique cycle.
CAS was a close pen-friend of H. P. Lovecraft, they admired each other's prose, juggled with names of evil arcane gods and the influence went both ways.
Zothique is CAS' drakest cycle of stories. If you're interest but hear about CAS for the first time, EldritchDark is a perfect starting point.
OK, on we go.
The Man Himself
"The Charnel God"
This is my "test" illustration, as I was probing what is wanted of me. I tried to emulate the style of old-scholl horror illustrators, but the drawing was rejected, so instead of amulating I resorted to my own style.
"The Black Abbot of Puthuum"
This drawing was met with a bigger enthusiasm, so I moved on
"The Isle of the Torturers"
"The Death of Ilalotha"
"The Garden of Adompha"
"The Voyage of King Euvoran"
"The Empire of the Necromancers"
"The Dead Will Cuckold You"
"The Master of the Crabs"
"The Dark Eidolon"
And this is the end result. But this volume has only my frontispice and intrudoctory articles I made for each cycle. All the Zothique illustrations are set to appear in vol. 2
