On February 20th, San Francisco’s bass-forward night club, the Mezzanine, kicked-off a new concert series officially dubbed, HOUSE of MEZZANINE. The event features prominent house musicians from across the United States. This month featured artists form the DFA label like Pat Mahoney (drummer of LCD Soundsystem), and Museum of Love( San Francisco debut), New York City producer Curses!, as well as other local notables.

 

San Francisco club go-ers were still reeling after yet another successful Dirtybird Quarterly (Justin Martin) hosted by the Mezzanine just 6 day before. House of Mezzanine started with a catered and liquored VIP reception from 8 to 9 and socialites slowly trickled in.

 

Gourmet pizza, free beer, and house beats got the night started. Soon Pat Mahoney and Dennis McNany (together as MUSEUM of LOVE) took the stage and the energy intensified. Because the event is so new, there was room to dance and the atmosphere felt authentic.
