Turns out Isotope is a very flexible and powerful plugin. It's also a little splashy, and can run kinda slow on older computers. I also used a few small CSS3 features: border-radius, RGBA and transition. I wanted to have a simple font, but I still wanted it to have character and more than one weight, so I used Open Sans
from Google Webfonts for most of the headings and body copy
