Book jacket design for A Series of Unfortunate Events.
The covers for the series features the main story line of the book. I decided to create this book series because I love the satire humor that's in this series. My inspirations for this design comes mostly from Chip Kidd.
I decided to use the original artist Brett Helquist's artwork for this project because I want to present the challenge of me using another person's artwork and making that fit into my design instead of designing it my own illustrations. Also, I feel that the illustartions are very iconic to the series and I did not want to take that away from the series.
