Future State Hardcore Vol.1

Following the branding of the Future State Music digital label, I was asked by the client to supply visuals and a mini-site for a downloadable album he planned to release.
The artwork design was inspired by aerial night-time photo's of cities - and particularly the bright and vibrant light trails generated by busy traffic. Using my own simulated light-trails, I built a city that was centrally-oriented with minor and major roads travelling in a circular pattern.

The titling followed the format of the label branding, and gave it a proud presence in the center of the design.
The detail paid to the design was intricate, with time spent on every intersecting line, with smaller lines flowing from one to the other - to simulate traffic leaving one road and joining another.

With the tracklist page, I endeavoured to neatly present a huge amount of information. With each 'CD' containing two mixes, I grouped the mixes into their own seconds with a Japanese lantern-style line separating each CD. To display the artist and the track name, I discoloured the track name, whilst keeping the artist name and track number white.
The client asked for a mini-site that was visually impressive and simple - making the download buttons the main elements on the page. Using Adobe Muse, I constructed a single scrolling page that scrolls beneath a fixed foreground. Scrolling down from the landing position reveals all the tracklists for the release.
