It's no secret that that Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins had played a vital role in winning
the 2016 Stanly Cup Championship as well as 2017. To commemorate the impressive list of players and coaching staff that had been developed in the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton organization, Hockey Operations wanted to create a large mural in the locker room. The mural exists to inspire the next generations of coaching staff and players in their quest to NHL and a Stanley Cup Championship. Heritage and pride run deep in Wilkes-Barre/Scranton and we wanted to commemorate the organizational success at the AHL and NHL level. To accompany the mural we also installed banners at the Mohegan Sun Arena to highlight the players that have dawned the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton uniform and went on to win a Stanley Cup in Pittsburgh.
