Design Works Wonders - Moo (YCN Student Awards 14/15)

The brief was to "visually celebrate MOO’s belief that Design Works Wonders". I wanted to create an image that visually incorporated each section of the strapline. The design element of the image was the blueprint sketches of construction ideas and calculations. The working element was the functioning ark which provides safety from flooding, The ark can also be considered a wonder; which illustrates the final word in the strap line.
I originally created this image solely from lino cuts that I crafted, however I wasn't pleased with the outcome so I reworked my imagery and included some sketches that I drew in the research stage.
