ORBS Charity Calendar
(Oncoplastic Reconstructive Breast Surgery)

Whilst working as the in-house photographer for Jupiter Design I had the pleasure of working on 'It's Showtime', a calendar for the ORBS charity. The models are all real women who have had breast cancer at some point. As the title suggests, all the portraits play on a sense of theatre and relate directly to the womens aspirations, loves and interests.

The aim of the calendar was to increase awareness of this charity and it's work and also raise funds for a research nurse at The Nottingham Breast Institute.

ORBS is the application of plastic surgery techniques to the breast. Because of this breast-preserving surgery, many women can have the choice of avoiding a mastectomy. The pioneering ORBS work is led by Mr McCulley and Mr Macmillan at the Nottingham Breast Institute and the development of their innovative work relies on charitable donations.

The project culminated in a succesful show at the View From The Top gallery in Nottingham and also TV news coverage from ITV.
