    While I am by no means a professional photographer–I have far too many friends who have mastered their craft to call myself that–I know my way around a DSLR and the principles of good photography. As a designer, I have to be highly judicious in finding the perfect images for a project... sometimes, I try my best to capture them myself! This was one of the rare occasions that called for me to break out my camera bag. When a friend of mine was ready to propose to his future wife, I was tasked with documenting the whole thing. I crept about 1/4 mile behind their romantic walk through the greenway, hiding against the treelines in case she looked back, until they reached the spot we had picked out the day before for the perfect photo location... and then I just watched as it all unfolded. Afterward, we did a small photoshoot on the boardwalk and then the bench where she dumped him a few weeks into their relationship. That's my favorite part of the story :) Obviously, they eventually realized they were each other's "forever," and are now happily married. Here's to you, Gage and Kaley. Read Less
