Marbles: The Brain Store presented a unique challenge to us. Our mission was to design a fidget toy that’s aimed at adults, is child friendly, and utilizes the magic of magnets.
After two years of various prototypes and extensive product testing, the modern Flingon was born; bendy tip by bendy tip, hand-placed magnet by hand-placed magnet.
These are early CAD renderings to test the dimensions .and weight of the model. A preliminary mold was then made off of these findings.
Play testing helped us determine the age range, and possible safety issues for the product. During this time we also were able to test the durability of the materials.
We wanted to convey the idea of movement, flexibilty, and fun in the logo.
After the testing was done, packaging was created to reflect the fun nature of the product. Multiple iterations of both the logo, and the box shape were created before the final decision was made.
