COLOR BOOK
Group Project
Helena Loução and Joana Guarda collaboration
Mainly inspired in Irma Boom's "Colour Based on Nature" book.
Based on a selection of paintings from "Rubens, Brueghel, Lorrain - A Paisagem Nórdica do Museu do Prado" exhibition,
presented at Museu de Arte Antiga (Lisboa), we created a color book showing the main colours in each painting we chose,
allowing the viewer to have an interesting optic experience.
A pixelating process was created in order to collect these palettes of colour.
The visualization of the book allows the viewer to see from just two to a large number of pixels (2 colours, 8 and then multiple), and the ultimate stage would be the painting itself. We wanted a pixel colour book, and for this reason we don't show the work of art itself.
