About Themethlon
Themethlon is a family-run business that has been active in the field of desktop publishing and graphic arts for 25 years.
The company was first established under the name FORMAT by its founders, Apostolos and Kiki Santorinaiou. Themethlon has withstood the test of time and has moved forward even after the loss of its founder, Apostolos. The company has been passed down to his sons, Giannis and Vassilis Santorinaios who continue to offer their customers high quality work at competitive prices, all within a friendly and professional working environment.
Themethlon’s experience in desktop publishing and its rare specialization in polytonic texts has allowed the company to work with leading publishers such as Mpoukoumanis, Nakas, Terzopoulos and Psichogios. Τhe company has also enjoyed a long lasting and fruitful partnership with ESTIA publications, one of Greece’s oldest publishers.
Themethlon’s creative services are not restricted to the field of book typesetting. In 25 years of operation, their portfolio contains a great number of magazines, advertising catalogs, business cards and all forms of print work.

Project Description
Corporate Identity with combination of classic and modern elements.
I was inspired by the calligraphic way the letter θ is written in greek, so I decided to blend the initial letters of the owners’ names in order to create the first letter of the greek word θέμεθλον and combined it with simple and minimalistic elements.
Also two patterns were created based on the logo to enhance the identity and nature tone colors to emphasize the prestige and permanence of the company.

Inspiration
1. I focused on the greek word for themethlon(θέμεθλον) and particularly on the calligraphic initial letter θ(th).
2. I used the initial greek letters of the owners' names(α, β, γ) and I combined them, in order to create the initial letter θ.
