Objective: Propose the use of new technology for something it has not been used for before. Hurley wants to use technology to better protect surfers.
Target: Surfers. Men and women of all ages who surf anywhere in the world.
Strategy: How can a brand such as Hurley use technology to better protect surfers on the water? Technology current exists that can determine someones current depth in a body water. Technology also currently exists that allows us to read are brain activity that's the size of a head band.
Insight: The biggest threat to surfers is drowning. Whether it’s being dragged below the surface by the sea’s powerful forces, or being knock unconscious by rocks, boards, or the ocean floor drowning is the leading cause of death for surfers around the world.
