The Gin wishes it could be the monument. Majestic and unmoving, the monument has a certain future. It will be there for centuries. The Gin has seen many others go before him. Where, he doesn't know, as they never return. He lives in fear of the unknown. My kids got in at 2:00 am this morning. I'm really tired.
I took this exact same picture last year. The only difference was last year it was blurry and I was livid. This time the conditions were pretty close but the end result was far better. Whew. I think I never have to shoot here again.
I know I have a great shot when my friend Amy refers to it as "Creepy, but I like it!"  This was taken by zooming in through a window. I had about a 3 in band that wasn't being hit by a reflection that would wipe out the shot. I'm not sure if this picture is creepy, I would probably say some guy shooting pictures of a mannequin face for a minute may be creepier to some. For all I know I'm on someone else's page under "What the Hell is this guy doing?" I digress.
Falmouth, MA. Never shot here before. I will return soon though. Lots of great ideas for shots as I drove through. Stopped to look at the boats a bit and this just hit me. It was cold, autofocus wouldn't play, and my eyes are not as good as they once were. The fact this doesn't look like it was shot through a gauze pad gives my hope.
This is one of the icons of Cape Cod. The Sandwich Town Beach Walkway. Again, the challenge to me was to figure out how to shoot it, on a pretty lousy weather day, in a way that I hadn't seen done before. Couldn't figure it out. So I left. I get 40 feet and see the garage. Yahtzee.
