This project was my Senior Capstone Project for Graphic Design and was the deciding factor in whether or not I finished my undergrad at the University of Southern Mississippi (which I did, woohoo!). Typed below is the explanation of my project:
"Humanity has always competed with each other whether it was fighting over food or fighting for a potential lover. Couple that competitive nature with a fascination of flying and you have the sport called kite fighting."

Kite fighting is a competition between two people who fly their kites against each other in an attempt to cut the other person’s kite out of the sky. This is accomplished either through knives attached to the kite or through the use of cerol (wax mixed with ground glass) that is applied by hand to the line of the kite. Kite fighting is very popular in Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Brazil where it is an everyday occurrence amongst both children and adults.
The Kite Fighters World Championship aims to bring this exciting and unique sport to the United State’s own “Windy City” and bring with it the best fighters the world has to offer! Will you be there to see the first ever kite fighting world champion rise to glory? The battle to claim the sky is about to begin!"
