Memory is Amazing
As I was reading, We, The Memorious, I started to contemplate my own childhood. Unlike the family in the book, my parents did not capture my first step on film. My first words were not recorded, and in fact not even remembered. This made me think about my family and all of the memories I've shared with them throughout my life. I wish I could remember them all with pristine clarity, just like the few moments I caught on camera.
But now, I cant think about memories without considering the whole process of memory itself. Memory is extremely fascinating. There are so many tricks on the web on how to best memorize something, its crazy! How the human brain works in relation to memory is very unique, something no computer quite clone. Our memories is what makes us who we are today. They are our experiences in life, and the reasons we make certain decisions. I wonder how different some of our decisions would be if we could remember things as clearly as a picture.
