Past year, I received an interesting offer for a position of concept artist at King Berlin. After my recent move in Spain, it was unfortunaly impossible to me to consider moving again so quickly. However, I decided to do a quick art test. I love the colorfull and cartoon projects from King and I would love to get another opportunity like this, maybe later! :)

The request consisted in creating an evolution of characters inspired from an everyday object/machine. I thought it would be fun to create some robots , to go out of my comfort zone. So here is my cute and yellow robot family, inspired by a famous vaccum cleaner brand !

I hope you will also enjoy to see my vector process, and some of my doodles below ! :)

Process from the doodle to the final version. I usually use Flash to create separated vector elements, to prepare the build for possible animation of the in-game character. I added more details for the final portrait, that sually appears bigger on the screen, and that could be used as promotion media.

Some actions and posing of the characters I selected. Looking for a good silhouette to define for the final portraits.
Some of my first references and doodles, based on computer and vacuum cleaner - creatures. Well, I thought the first one was too humanoid , and I wanted to do something more different so I finally choosed to develop my second option ! I also loved the cute mono eye of the smallest creature...

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you liked this project! Feel free to like, comment and share to support! :')
