Throughout the years, quite a few of my pieces include elements that were inspired by nature, and this one was no exception. We had the privilege and opportunity to work with a jewelry designer guest artist in grade 11. This ring was designed towards the beginning of summer, when the leaves were just growing out again. However, this piece was named as “Summer Solstice” because it reminds me of the hot summer days when I enjoyed sitting or lying under the trees and being able to see sun rays peek through the leaves.
