Brief
Design a new set of icons for the following using one typeface of your choice.
- Male & Female Toilets
- Cafe
- Mother & Baby Changing
- Wifi
- Multifaith Prayer Room
- Lockers
- Mystery Icon
Solution
The typeface that I chose to create my icons was Baskerville as the different stroke weights within the typeface created a visually aesthetic and interesting appearance. I tried to keep the icon set as closely related to eachother as I could to ensure they didn't look separate so I limited my icon design use to circular shapes using the letter O, C & D, the number 8 and an Ampersand. The mystery icon was one that we could choose ourselves so I chose to create an icon for wheelchair access as it would work well with the style of my other icons and it is an icon that is widely used and recognised.
