Behind the Door is a personal project I've been working on since 2013. This project is about myself and my sister's life growing up with a parent who was a hoarder. The scenes were shot in the exact house we lived in. This project started with the passing of my mother as the house was left to my sister and I. Going back to the house I wanted to create some art of what it was like living in these condidions. The kids in the images are my son and my sister's daughter represening us as kids. We had to photograph the kids separatley due to the condiditons of the house. The composite work was completed by Randy Teet. The work has been shown on Design Taxi, Feature Shoot, Yahoo and ABC News.
