SCAN__\'art-is-a"cage\\\ is a project for an art exhibition. An exhibition about the meaning of art. A provocation. Art is everything. Art is nothing. Art is completely useless, as Oscar Wilde said. Art is freedom. Or a cage?
The exhibited artworks are all portraits of the artist, created using the SCANNER as the medium, as a photo camera, as an eye, the eye of society, the tight uncomfortable analysis of art itself, a box of doomed critics gallerists curators and producers, a container for all kind of egocentrisms – first of all the artist's one.
All the scans are 1200dpi super high resolution, to enhance the effect of hyper-realism of the details. Printed in CMYK over poster paper, 120x160cm (or bigger).
