How to be Graphic Designers who care for the environment?

As much as design can improve lives and change the world, designers are the ones behind the scenes destroying our nature, our future and eventually our earth. The past decade has witnessed a profound change in the role of graphic designers from physical craft toward intellectual problem solving- from factory floor to the desk of middle management. Graphic design is increasingly influential. As partners with printers, graphic designers influence the flow of enormous quantities of materials and energy. The ability of graphic designers has definitely increased and given the newfound power, comes new responsibility. Hence, can graphic designers influence a positive change in future generations making people life better?
 
 
The more I researched about how ink and the wastage of paper impact the environment, I thought of a creative way to create the poster. I aim to practise how to be a graphic designer that cares for the envrionment through the reusing of materials. Firstly, I created a paper stencil and traced out the outline of the fonts onto the used brown paper. Next, I cutted out the outline of the fonts. Lastly, I write my information and references using an eco-friendly marker. Reused brownpaper. No printed ink. No bleeds
The bookcover is custom-made to contain an A4 compendium journal and an A5 booklet. The bookcover is made out of cardboard boxes. The CD holder is made out of used brownpaper. 
This books aims to bring awareness on how designers has the ability to reduce waste pollution creating a sustainable future, where the quality of environment can be improved.
