I drew this for my grandmother Margery who was and will always be an incredible inspiration in my life. For her 90's birthday party I collected a few words from each of her grandchildren and put this together to show her how much we all appreciate her.

I got a lot of the same words from different cousins – happy memories like swimming in the lake and chocolate zucchini cake – but the one word that everyone thought of was "peace" and if you knew Marge it would be no mystery why. She was a long-time peace activist and a member of the Council of Canadians and People for Peace. 

My goal was to combine all of the words and ideas everyone shared into this rooster shape, which is a reference to the memories that we have visiting my grandparent's farm and going out to the chicken coop with my grandmother to collect eggs and take care of the chickens.
