It has been a long time since bath plugs have met any changes in shape or material. As an alternative, I am proposing this collection of plugs in different and original shapes. The goal is to invite everyone to replace his old rubber bath plug for a more sustainable choice, keeping in mind an accessible and viable price level. Cork possesses the necessary qualities to suit this to perfection.
This project was a finalist in the cork contest sponsored by Boisbuchet in partnership with Amorim.
During the workshop I had the opportunity to work with cork in its purest state, from a cork tree with more than 200 years old. I developed a new approach to the bath plugs where I tried to leave visible the natural surface of cork, which ultimately creates an interesting contrast with baths or lavatories. Also developed a bath plug which connects to a platform for the soap.
