The Durotype logo is a stylized lower case "d", inspired by the yin yang symbol. On the one hand, it is purely geometric — it is mathematical, measured, calculated. On the other hand, it represents life — like streaming water, a beating heart, harmonious opposites, or returning seasons. The Durotype logo symbolizes the synthesis of the geometric and humanist traditions in typeface design. It has been designed by Ben Blom in 2006.
