Nagar had found Karna on the bank of river Ganga when he was an infant.
Adhirath and his wife Radha raised Karna as their own son. According to epic mahabharata when Adhirath used to return to his home from Hastinapur-
Kingdum of Kauravas,Karna and his brother used to play with their father's
chariot. In this sculpture, the artist has tried to portray Karna's first attempt at
riding the chariot, as fast as the wind.
