The belvederes of Portuguese cities offer breathtaking views, being some of the biggest turistic points. Points of a higher perspective, some details catch the attention such as roofs. The heap of roofs in the historic districts, as a result of a complex urbanism, are a feature of Portuguese architecture. The roofs come in many forms, but all, in general, are made composed by inclined planes. Its main building block is the tile, being the ceramic tile the most common in Portugal.
