Badlands is a genrebending martial arts series loosely based on the classic Chinese tale
“Journey to the West” In a land controlled by feudal barons, Badlands tells the story of a great warrior and a young boy who embarks on a journey across a dangerous land to find enlightenment.
I chose the red color and elements usually realted to Chinese warriors to emphasize the mood of the show and to give the viewers a better idea as to what the show would be about.
