S.P.O.T. - Smart Parking On Time

It is not always easy to find a free parking spot, especially in a big city or if you are not a local. In this project we (Jahnosch Lehmbruch, Linda Latzelsberger, Nora Huber, Thomas Windisch, Florian Rehlendt) worked on a solution for this problem. Our solution works both for the client side as a mobile application, and for the city management with a desktop interface. We worked out the concept with a target group analysis, use cases and many more methods. After that we made wireframes and integrated them until our goals were met. Then we worked out the final design, the logo, and the name: Smart Parking on Time. In the last stage we built a working Arduino prototype, which was exhibited at our university. People could move toy cars in a miniature city, and with the help of different sensors we displayed the parking costs and other important data on a computer in real time.
