65daysofstatic is a post rock/math rock/ electronic group from England. Their name supposedly stems from a CIA plot to block all transmissions in and out of Nicaragua with static to ensure a coup. Bearing in mind their subversive nature and the feeling of their music being on the edge of falling apart, I settled upon a process to degrade images of "Americana" using magnets, VHS tape and a damaged CRT monitor.
