mood | self-portraits
29,7 x 42 cm, charcoal and ecoline on paper

mood is a series of self-portrait drawings that were done by using a blind-drawing technique. My goal was to explore my facial expression by touching it with one hand and responding in the paper with the other one. At the same time, the mark on the paper should be an expression of an emotion, a feeling, a thought. An expression of the inner self. In the end these expressions were underlined with the use of Ecoline and other charcoal marks.

4 drawings from this series were selected to be presented at the
V International Drawing Triennial "BLACK and WHITE"
between August-September 2015, in Tallinn-Viinistu, Estonia.
