First hand photographic research of the fashion exhibit Age of Liberty.
At the beginning of the year our class traveled to the ulster museum to view the fashion exhibition Age of Liberty to help generate ideas for our portfolios, as I chose to do the pseudo Victorian style of steampunk as my theme focus this was a well spent trip.
Our directive was to create a magazine page review for the exhibition The Age of Liberty, my design and lead up can be seen below.
Sketches of garments from ulster museum.
These pages were chosen for inspiration due to my preference for an annotated picture style, wherein the images are the main focus and not the text.

I don’t believe the work is good enough to compare with professional page design.

Technical difficulties in the work came with new skill set issues, though I can draw in digital art I did not like using the guides to line up and measure my work.
If I was to do the project again I would retake the pictures at better angles and quality, and re-centre the title more to the left, I would also use a different colour scheme, with a white background and a blue strip along the side or bottom with fully reordered images.
