    About

This was done for Visual Design Lab 4 at FAU. I wanted to rebrand the logo for a local non-profit: the Jewish Association for Residential Care.

I wanted to rebrand this particular non-profit because of their chosen acronym. To handle their unwieldy name, they employ the acronym JARC, which hardly rolls off the tongue.
Current logo
It all started with a circle. JARC is home to mentally-disabled adults so I researched artwork by autistic people and found that many of the works featured interesting circle patterns. So one circle became two, two became four, and so on. It was also a challenge to not have something too solemn: this facility is ultimately a celebration of life. It's not a hospital, so I didn't feel the need to pursue that particular style.
