These whimsical zaftig ladies came about in the summer of 2014. I was home in Virginia Beach spending time with family, and I wanted to play with the Hampton Roads Mermaid Mascot as a fun loving plus size cutie. All the work in this series was created with graphite, colored pencil, watercolor, and ink on mixed media paper.
